That's the poster line for the brilliant new Stephen Gaghan film Syriana, which is anchored by Hollywood heavyweights George Clooney, Matt Damon and Jeffrey Wright but made exceptional by an all-around strong cast. The story - an unusually complex story for a big studio film - is about the illegal arms trade, corrupt oil business, and dirty politics all rolled into one intricate web. If you enjoy engaging and intelligent movies with multiple plotlines, this beautifully shot geopolitical thriller is well worth a visit to the theatre.
